when removing front door trim, i take out the screw in the chrome handle area, the screw in the 'pocket' thing, the plastic in the top near the mirror. then the trim it loose, but i must pull it up.

what is preventing me is the black casing of the side mirrors (inside car), but i see no screw for its release, nor when pulling it to look behind do i see an easy way to do it.

what else do I do to free the door trim?

thanks in advance.

yeah the little black casings come off easily. i did manage to take my door trim off without having to take off the black casing but it makes life so much easier if you take it off before taking off the door trim.

After you removed all the screws, just pull around all the edges until all the other clips undo. As your pulling at the door, just pull at a 45 degree angle upwards and it should come off. The corner black piece doesnt need to come off.

putting the door trim back on is a lot easier with the black mirror plastic off.... took off the door trim a few times for sound deadening, speaker install.
