Not worth spending the extra money putting a vti engine into the gli.

couldn't you just perform a mini me conversion?
thought most people go for the vti because of the sunroof more than anything

well i like it coz of rear disc and sways it comes with....
im not too worried about the engine as ill most likely do a B series conversion

so why even bother mentioning the engine in the original post?
my suggestion is, wait for a vti
the money you're gonna spend on the extra bits is gonna add up to be about the same
even try to find a ready converted vti, even less work to be done

so what does the engine have to do with the brakes again?
either way, you'll end up with a gli then need to upgrade to disc brakes (450odd? for front+rear) then other suspension junk which is another couple hundred
it's an idea, just not a good one since you can just buy a vti with everything on it already and save yourself the trouble looking around for the parts(potentially buying busted junk) and installing them
whats your budget for EG vti :P

Si with I/H/E is nicer than VTi with I/H/E IMO
But I have an EH VTi with the D16Y1 and an EF8 CRX SiR with the B16A and there's no point doing any engine swaps unless you're putting in a B Series seriously, waste of $$$ on labour unless you have the time/knowledge to do it yourself.
Just wait for a VTi :P
