hey guys

I lowerd my eg about a year ago now...king lows and munroe original shocks.205/40r17 rubber..

About 2 weeks now..I can hear a really loud bang bang on the rear sounds like both sides..only when i go over i speed bump and hit bumps and dips on the road..gradually getting worse the more i drive it..

Driving it on smooth roads going fast around a corner seems absolutely fine
Now i havent seen any sort of leak whatso over from both of the shocks..
I have tightend all the screws again..(all where tight.)
Took wheels off, placed it back on making sure there tight..
Car seems fine not bumpy nothing unusual just those baning noise..

what can it be?

what are the sighns of blown shocks..

thanks

Maybe your Bumpstops.... If the shocks are old the bumpstops seem to fall apart dry an hard lost all there sponge like feel they are spose to have.

sounds like blown shocks to me

When you put lowered springs on old shack which arent shortened you will eventually blow them out...

as for the banging, could be your hittin your bump stops, or, hitting part of your chassing with your wheel, take off the wheel and inspect the wheel well for scrapes/damage

+1
Alot of people don't change there shockers when they change there springs.. Cutting costs (dw alot of people do it)
This generally kills the life span of your shockers much quickly, best idea is when you get new shocks, get ones that are good for YOUR ride height.
