this is the second eg civic i have got with a leaking brake proportioning valve body, dribble when i first got the car, leaking after a brake fluid bleed.

incorrect brakefluid??(using DOT4) or old seals/cups, where newer, less viscous fluid is able to pass through the worn seals/cups?

my theory is the little rubber eye brake fluid dribbles from is a weep hole, which allows users to know brake fluid is travelling past the internal cup/piston/seal and is faulty rather than leaking pressure to unwanted calipers/cylinders. correct me if i am wrong anyone and please advise.

has anyone else had this? how did you correct it? what are some theories for these leaks?

common problem with the age of the car.
i just bought a new 4040 from honda, about $260.
second hand is alot cheaper, but brakes are important so i'd rather new parts.

Very normal, not sure if there available but try get new seal for the prop valve, should be just an o-ring and you could do it with everything connected
