sup ppls. just want to know when the vtec kicks in. at wat rpm? my car is a 96 civic vtir and the redline starts at 8k?

at round about 5500rpm
all the way to 8400rpm cut off

h22a is 5000 =] but rev limiter is 7800..

Red line is 8200... revlimiter is about 8700... for SIR anyway... =]

Oh FFS I hate all the BS that gets posted up about "Redline" and "Rev Limit" on the Stock B16A with Stock ECU. :mad:


So far only Danny has it right!

Also stock tacho's are not the most accurate of things.

jdm h22a is 5200-5300 depending on conditions, revlimiter on my stock tacho bounces between 7800-8000rpm.

Just Put on a VTEC light to see when it kicks in.

Look on the stock tacho to see when redline is.

Rev the shit out of it until it cuts out to find out where rev limit/cut is.

5400 on my EF9 for VTEC engagement, 8200 for cut-out.
