GOT PICS! Woo
i have been researching a bit found some cases of leaking capacitors, hoping thats what it was, hasty as i was and convincing myself it was a leaking capacitor, just quickly threw in the p06 ecu from a wrecked GLI i have, got me home no trouble. Still out for an ecu tho.

the diode i am holding is meant to be where the smoldering crater is.
