Hopefully this one gets up and running, get behind it people, proposed plans are out... Similar to Z-Max in the USA with its 'twin strip' design...

There is also a free car show being put on for us to get more support behind this cause and hopefully entice some government funding!

i have heard and known about this for a while, but like most things, never actually thought it would get going.............
fingers crossed, i only live about 20mins from avalon...................
if the government stopped putting money into advertising anti hoon shi$t, speeding and all the other car related dribble,,, imagine how great a track we could have if they invested in some where for people to take there car ,,, we need a circuit racing track to f1 standard ( there is none in Australia)
hope we get this track for starters

the plans are brilliant, caters for all aspects of motoring.
its next to an airstrip, so noise shouldn't be an issue.
the only thing that will stop this is a government to busy pleasing old people.

AWESOME NEWS :)
here's a quote from the page:
"you can have a go with your HSV or FPV (or even your Commodore shopping trolley) around the 2 km sprint circuit. Perhaps you can even have a go at Drifting or even the Motorkhana"
sort of funny that they point out those two specific companies....

This has been around for ages, the proposal that is.. Alot of people reckon it'd be good to have it in that area cause it's just open land, no-one lives there so yeah..
Government really needs to get behind this for it to go ahead...

they need more tracks and strips in melbourne, it gives the people somewhere to let a bit lose and just have some fun, its probably the reason for the amount of hooning in the last couple of years. Ever since drag tag closed down people go out some nights of the week and have some fun and get done for it. give these guys somewhere to do there stuff.
