Also check your distributor cap for any corrosion on the contact points. Clean it up with a bit of sandpaper.

What engine is it?
sounds like it could be many things, fuel pump maybe.. good to test your theory before spending $$$ and have it not fix it, few common issues that relate are, main MPI relay, ignition module/coil, ECU, Would help by checking fault codes.

Here is an ignition control module(ICM) test

This is what the main relay looks like

In your engine bay, left to the rocker cover. It is where your spark plug leads go into on the distributor side. Make sure you mark down which lead goes into which connector before taking it apart. If you are not sure, then let a mechanic check for you.

Does the car just die or splutter until it runs out of fuel? Since it's an EG, if it's just dying you can almost guarantee it's the coil. Quite a common occurrence for bad coils to fail when they get warm.

If you know someone with a similar engine to yours swap the coils around and see if it makes a difference. It's in the dizzy. Here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56224)'s a DIY on testing the ICM and coil.

If it's intermittent it's be easier to work out if it's the problem to just swap the coil out with a known good coil

in my old car, it was a mazda mx3, i had this problem while i drive.. or if i just come to a stop.. the car would just turn off, as if it had just stalled.

While trying to figure out the problem i discovered whenever i take off the oil cap the car turned off.. :S
So i went to a mechanic 4 a checkup, it turned out to be a lose hose, and well lose hose told the ecu to turn off the car some shit like that..
im no mechanic but yeh lol. Maybe check the hoses...

i had the same problem 3wks ago on my EG b18c, after driving a bit then it just die but can start the car immidiately, after changing the fuel pump it solved the problem. But before assuming its the fuel pump, make sure you check the distributor, loose wiring, coil, main relay under the dash on the driver side.

dead fuel pump often does that ie car starts perfect then dies cos the fuel line still under pressure from previous journey and car starts fine even pump was now dead.

dead pump often gets revived temporary by tapping ( tap not whack )the fuel pump with a hammer, in your case lift up the rear seat and tap around where fuel pump metal cover is.
