I'm pretty sure the 'Si' badge they used on their grill is from an EP3

Yep, I got mine from eBay. The only problem you will have - which is what I had - is it was impossible to fit the badge to the grille (mind you I have a genuine Type R grille) using the clip that was included in the package. I have a pic below of the clip:

In terms of the Si badge itself, it had 3 pins moulded onto the back of the badge (unfortunately I didn't take a photo of this before I fitted it) which were somehow meant to lock it into this clip and the grille. But it was impossible. Every which way you tried. Whether I was give the wrong clip I don't know, but it all came sealed in a genuine Honda factory bag so I doubt it.

But the easy fix is to disregard the clip and simply file back the pins on the back of the Si badge and smooth it flat, then simply get hold of a small strip of some strong auto tape (3M tape is best as weather/heat resistant etc which I got from my panel beater) and stick to the grille.

This is the end result:

I also fitted an Si badge to the back of my EK sedan, but used the EK 99-00 version - even though I have a 96-98 I made my own Si sedan - and I thought it looked more OEM. Again, from eBay and just a straight sticker - removed the Gli sticker (tea tree oil is perfect and light on the paint), clean and polished the paint after removal and stuck it straight on:

Hope this helps and good luck with it,

No worries mate - I should have said first use a hairdryer to heat up the old gli sticker on the back - maybe 3-5 minutes - and keep the heat going as you 'slowly' peel it off. Then use tea tree oil to remove any of the residue left behind on the paintwork from the original sticker.

Good luck!

hey Alvis,

how much did the badge cost you from the dealer?

There were around $30-35 including postage from US :-)
