Hi all,

Got my 100,000km service for DC5R and was told by Hanny's that the following will be changed. I wanted to save money by purchasing my own products and was wondering if i'm missing anything from the list.

- Spark Plugs (NGK Iridium Sparks (ZFR6FIX-11))
- Engine Oil (Castrol Edge 5W-30)
- MTF
- Coolant

Furthermore, was wondering if the ZFR6FIX-11 spark plug is compatible with the k20a on the DC5R. Will I just need the 1 spark plug or a set of X?

Much appreciated

Are those plugs the right one for the K20A2? The NGK part finder lists IFR7G-11KS instead.

You need 4 spark plugs. Double check if your fuel filter was changed at the 80,000km service.

ull need 4 plugs. 1 for each cylinder..? and really a 1.1gap?

im still getting my head around using such a wide gap, after using 0.6 with evos and GTRs lol

where abouts did you get the info for using ZFR6FIX-11 plugs?

i can only find IFR7G-11KS listed now for k20a. The ones i pulled out of mine are IZFR6K11.. maybe they are old discontinued ones.

Well the obvious difference between those two plugs you've mentioned there is the heat rating (7 being colder of course), and NGK rarely discontinues plugs. Also, don't get MTF off the shelf, you're better off buying the OEM transmission fluid.

I'm looking at my log book now for 100K service... mine jsut replaces the engine oil and filter and spark plugs (type s only)

This is for an 05 Type S.

as a heads up, my 80K service was 880 dollars **** YA!

it looks like at 80K and 120K, they do the semi major services !

forgot to add the final word on the spark plugs, specs are as followed:

Type R model use either:
NGK: IFR7G-11K or DENSO: SK22PR-M11

Except Type R models use either:
NGK: IFR6K-11 or DENSO: KJ20DR-M11

hope this helps

Are the original spark plugs ont he DC5R NGK iridiums? (IFR7G-11K).Picked up a DC5 today with 86,000kms on the odometer and looking at the spark plugs they had that part number and wasn't sure if that's the original sparks.

What spark plugs did u end up getting? Can we use NGK iridiums: ZFR6FIX-11 in K20A (EP3R)?
