Well we've been arguing for ahwile but now we decided putting both cars on the drag strip, willowbank next month.
My mates supra has nothing but a clean 2jz-gte n/a engine with a 2.5" system with a 3.5" tip.

All I have is a Vti-r engine with a 2.25" system and a 3.5" tip also, with a Apexi air flow controller. I'm getting extractors done by TODA in nsw by next week hopefully. I would love a CAI now but I can't find one thats on my budget,

I've never raced a supra, and I'm "alright" with changing gears quickly. But whos going to take the win???

INTEGRA VTI-R or SUPRA 2JZ ?

This question has been covered to death, please do a search next time.

lol same here I bought a integ becos of my budget, I did see some mean supras for 11k but ohwell.

Give me some tips on some mods, I got 2-3k to spend. 2k will go down in on fitting the TODA headers, dyno tuning and wiring the Apexi air controler. So about 1k left,

any ideas?

injen cai is proberly the next best thing
you could get cams but your so much better off working the head with gears, retainers, springs etc to get the most out of the cams.
but exhaust headers and cai is the best starting point with the tune :)

By air flow controller do you mean a VAFC?

NA supra's are boats. Especially when all they have is a catback. You'd beat him if neither of you are regulars to the strip.

It's a 2JZ-GE too btw.

Of course, semi-slicks would be sweet, but he mentioned that he's strapped for cash, can't even afford an intake.

I believe driving skill always plays a decisive factor: how well u use that clutch and 'box.

this exact same topic has been covered, incredibly, on the site over the last 3 weeks at least 3 times.

i give you credit that you are actually going out to see who wins... but am going to close this thread for now. If you get around to racing, get your time slips scanned, and i will re-open this thread and allow you to put the pics up and we can finally put things to rest
