Hi there~

i am looking at buying a new Honda Civic VTi model soon; this is my first car and I have no experience at buying a car before. I know there is no excuse for a girl not to know :o but just wondering if anyone has recently bought one and how much roughly is the car +/- any accessories/deals?

Thank you so much for all your help.

Cheers
Linda

Hello Linda
If you're buying new, the 2010 model Civic has arrived/will shortly arrive. It adds curtain airbags for no extra.

Honda currently offers '09 plated Civics, in manual form, for $24,000 (about $26,300 auto) in the traffic; not a bad deal, but remember, they are now last year's model.

I bought the 40th anniversary VTI auto for a little over $27,400, drive away, in October '09. With a fifth alloy wheel, metallic paint and four mini-weather shields, it came in at $28,000. Prior to the LE promotion, the same car would have cost over $30,000 on the road, including the value of its included extras - wheels, exhaust extension, tailored mats and park assist.

Honda accessories are not cheap and I haven't been able to find gear, such as headlight guards ($80 from Mr Honda) or bonnet guards (same price at Honda) at car accessory stores, such as SupaCheapAuto, etc.
The VTi-L model offers more by way of features, such as climate-control air, but then, it costs more - a good deal more.

If you're not trading-in, put on your best smile and hit 'em for a no-trade discount. And Linda, if this is your first venture into car-buying, do your homework and, nothing sexist intended, do take a bloke along. I have found the girl salespeople easy to deal with.

GOOD LUCK
NOEL

i just bought my 2008 civic vti for 17,750. had 22 000kms on it, stock as a rock. with new cars like these there wont be much wrong with the engine, just make sure you do a rev check on the car.
