looking for new HID KIT on CU2, i had now is H1 kit

but when i shop online i found there are 2 types bulbs: D2S and H1

are there same?? in US the TSX is using D2S not sure our euro is same...

on PHILIPS website i only found D2S 85122

also from here: http://www.lightwerkz.net/prod_honda.htm

D2S kit is more expensive than H1 kit

which one i should choose? Thanks for help..

I believe the D2S bulb is for the luxury version of the euro, as it has the correct hid projector housing
While the stock euros with halogen lights will need the H1 bulb kit.

Hope that helps

If you have the accord euro luxury with factory HID lights, then replacement globes are the d2s ones..

If you don't have hid lights, the standard models I think come with h1 as the high beams are sepetate, just as the Subaru is.. In this case if you were fitting an aftermarket kit on your own you will need the h1 kit..

I wanna change my ones on my luxury from the measly looking oem 4300k to the 6000k.. 6000k is the best colour, it's pure White with a tinge of blue at the slightest.. Anything higher gets too blue (8000k) and 12000k is a dirty purple!

thanks for help.

so as you said, d2s will not fit on standard CU2?? i should go for H1 kit, are there any different in results?

such as distance? bright? between H1 and D2S?

PS: i am having 8000K hid on car now and it gets blue so i am looking for 6000K replacement kit

No difference mate, it's the actual fitting/ shape of the base that's different.. Same lightin etc, it's the unit shape of the headlights that makes the difference not so much the globe..

Look, 8000k is ok, but you will get more lighting and vision with the 6000k and it looks better in my opinion

edit:

I'm confused, do you have factory hid lights now or not? If you have factory hid then all you need is d2s replacement globes! If you don't have hid ballasts and setup at all, then you will need the h1 kit.. Provided your car now uses normal halogen h1 globes

no, my one is standard cu2. so it comes with halogen H1 bulbs.
i already installed the aftermarket H1 8000k HID kit on my car. but i would like replace the 6000k hid kit to low beam

i dont want just replace the bulbs, due to consider the fitment or other issues

so looking for new HID kit.

thanks for help

If you replace it with H1 6000K hid bulbs it will be exactly the same as buying a H1 hid kit, but cheaper?

H1 is the size - low or high beam are both the same size in the standard euros

I think i bought the wrong bulb for replacing the existing HID bulbs.

If the Euro Luxury use D2S bulb then i bought the H1 by mistake !...

The actual bulbs are the same size etc, just that the oem connector won't fit on the h1 globe..
