speakers cutting out

hey

when i turn my HU on my speakers make a like a pop sound then they dont work but my HU still plays?. but sometimes the speakers play for a bit then cuts out?

could be a loose connection and the terminals of a speaker. could be short at speaker terminals, not causing fuse to blow. just check behind the speaker that is giving you troubles, and make sure it getting a good connection.

ie...crimp lugs are properly terminated, solder has no dry joints etc

also make sure the wire from the speaker terminal which is going to the actuall cone is not loose aswell

I experienced this in some guys car that i worked on.

Speakers woofer moving in and out back n forth like 2-3 times.. u hear pop sort've sound then no sound at all? What i did was replace the wire that goes to the speaker, took a while but was worth it the speaker of even sounded louder.
