Hey all, what would be the best exhaust for a dc2r planning to do some all motor mods -

The 63mm T1R 63S catback
or the 70mm Skunk2 megapower R catback

Both will be matched to headers and a hiflo cat, hondata, injen intake, cams, springs, pulleys, fuel upgrade.

Thanks all.

Neither.

Save your money and pay an exhaust shop to make you a custom 2.5" setup.

Go the 70mm skunk2.. chris some times the shops do dodgy welds use shit material etc.. id rather an off the shelf exhaust

2.5" SS custom is the way to go. Why pay 1k for an exhaust when you can get it for half the price.

Yeah that would ideally be the correct thing to do but... the shops around here are far from professional. I probably wouldn't give them a paddock basher to weld a muffler onto.

So ruling the custom idea out, im thinking the 70mm skunk.

Excuses - You just need to find the right place.

What do you think alot of the custom guys do when it comes time for a custom exhaust? Ask Tanabe, mugen, spoon, T1R to make them a custom one? Go speak with an engineer who is in the custom fabrication industry and he will quickly pass you onto a good welder.

I know many here in Sydney

Edited. I work at a fabrication buisness, basically a designer/engineer day in day out. I know many many good welders here, tig, mig, stick.

So why don't you make your own?

Time constraints is a main one. And space/workspace.

Fair enough,

Well if you HAD to, 70mm skunk.
