Hi Guys,

I want to replace my audio in Honda Accord 2000 ( Radio + CD Player and changer ) with aftermarket one. I'm a bit noob in this, last time I did anything similar was about 10 years ago with old Audi V8. :)

I just bought Sony CDXGT480U ( Mp3/WMA + USB ) head unit.

As I understand I also need to buy dash kit and wiring harness. I found the one on eBay. It's a kit that comes with dash & wiring harness. Looks similar to this:

I also found a nice guide on how to repalce the radio here (http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466053.pdf) and it looks relevant to my model.

Is there anything elase I may need to replace my audio? What are the risks of doing it? Any tricks?

Is there any connectors on the market that can connect Sony 12pin directly to Honda connector?

Any responses are much appreciated.

Thanks.

by the looks of it the radio already has brackets so why would you need a dash kit?

tip: be good to your mother and the gay mods here on OH... oh nearly forgot, try not to loose any clips when pulling out the clock and fascia :)
