Ok.

so my a/c compressor shat itself.. and i took it off 2nite.. and then i realised the a/c belt is freakin around the lower engine mount o_O... i but still need the car to get around and i couldnt just leave the belt hanging around loosely around the pulley.. soo i just decided to cut the a/c belt off.

When i do eventually get a new compressor and belt. how do i go about fitting the a/c belt again? Is loosening the engine mount the only way of fitting it again?

Car is a EM1 , so im guessing same layout as most EK's with a/c.

Thanks !

loose the upper side mount, unbolt the 2 bolts that old the torque mount to the chassis
drop it enough, slip in the belt and tighten them back up again
no other way to go about it

while the compressor is off take the 4 bolts for the compressor mount off so it frees the compressor mount from the block, then slide the belt on or off

cut your exsisting belt off and get a new one when you replace the compressor.

Thank You =) Used the method ECU MAN mentioned, was a breeze. Just gotta remove the p/s belt to get the a/c belt back on.
