Got bumped from behind on the weekend at a parking lot. Got bumped by a old mini and this is the result. The bumper has a few scratches and bumps that I couldn't capture on the camera phone (and it's no big deal), but the bumper is dislocated now. The last pic is the part I circled in the 2nd pic. How much should I claim for it? The driver agreed that she will pay for it by cash. Should I get a '98+ new rear bumper? Or just pocket the cash and move on?

mm well it doesnt look to bad i guess =P.. i got bumped from behind once but the whole bumper caved in. i went around for private quotes at first to see the damage without using insurance (the person bummping me didnt have insurance *GASP*) as was quoted anything from 1.4 k to 2000 for the bump. mind you this is on a DC5 and apparently there was more than just bumper damage. thats really to give you an estimate i cant give you a price =P as i dont know how insurance companies work. ohh and i ended up claiming insurance of the lady as she refused to pay for the work. lucky for me i had her address and phonenumber and licence details. so i gave that to insurance company.. Honda 1 - Holden 0.

Well I just got back from the smash repairs, they quoted me $450 for repairs.

I think I'll be better off with a new/used OEM rear bumper or even an aftermarket one.

Does anyone know the price of a OEM rear bumper? I would like to buy a 98+ OEM bumper.

I probably wouldn't go for a body kit because the rest of the car is stock, but I would like one that has the 'integra' embossing on the rear bar. ;)
