Hi guys,
today did very silly thing and downshifted from 3rd to 2nd, and slowly releasing the clutch, the RPM went up to 9000rpm (less than 1 sec) and i quickly clutch back in and slow downed. Would my engine be fine? have i done any damage?
Im quite worried at the moment.
Car seems to be driving fine after it.
but havnt hit vtec again yet.

if everythings all normal , and driving like before then its fine , but obviously u put more wear to ur engine ..
You'll notice if something is wrong on spot if it did go wrong. Example, me and some mates going up nebo once, had a mate driving his sportivo, downshifted and over revved it, block blew out the side and flames out like a V8 supercar.

x2, don't these things redline over 8k anyway?
I've had my d15b4 up to 9k. You'll be fine.
if you did any damage some of the valves would be bent and you would have felt the car driving shit right away, sounds like it's all good. try to avoid doing the same again.
