Hey people,

My DC2 VTiR has recently started making a whistle noise when I turn the engine off. It actually happens once the pistons have stopped moving and the positive / negative pressures stabilise.

I've been told it's a PCV valve. I have bought a new one but it's in the worst place ever!

Anyone got similar problems / experiences with this?

Cheers

Hey,

That's exactly right.

I had my car serviced at Honda recently and Tech told me that the PCV valve needs to be replaced.

I bought a new one but did not want to spend a couple of hundred in Honda service fee's so I thought I'll do it myself. The problem is that it is under the intake manifold so therefore very difficult to reach.

Autobarn sell the non OEM part for about $14. Original OEM part is $44!

Cheers

check the DIY section dude, there is one in there... but as i see it, like you said, the issue is the fiddliness of the position, otherwise it is a relatively straightforward job
