burning smell

everytime i redline, like really gun my car there is a burning smell for a short period after.open the bay when you stop there is no trace.any idea what it is? burning oil?

Weird burning or kind of oil burning?

Probably your clutch.

Could be clutch smell, maybe exhaust gasses or oil, any idea wat it smells like? Does I'd burn ur eyes? Do u have a cat?

nah lol dosent burn my eyes. its like a fart bomb but not exactly that smell. got a high flow cat if thats what you mean. clutch is new though.

When thrashing the car is running rpetty rich , plus possible oil blowby etc so it all mixes together and creates a nasty smell thru the cat + muffler.

if it smells almost like fart bomb then its more than likly the clutch or brakes (make same smell) cant think why it would do that, sorry, maybe slipage but you say clutch is new, wat the flywheel machined?

blowby is my call... unless your frying the clutch, but that doesnt smell like burning oil, blowby does

he did state it was a burning smell. The only thing that burns is generally engine oil , and it can burn excessively if the car is thrashed

OP - is there any noteable smoke emitted at any RPM , while "thrashing" ?

not noticeably from drivers point of view. its more a burnt smell than anything else. dont know bout smoke coming outta exhaust but will find out.is it something harmful and should check u on?
