mate your best bet is to call the place where you are going to get it serviced, they are really the only ones that can help you...

you're right, but the best idea i can get is from people who have already done the service - how would i know if the service place would be giving me an extorted price

The best idea you'll get is, from reading the logbook. It'll say exactly what needs to be done.

Having said that, for a Type S, it was around the $230 mark from Honda.

Because you ring several mechanics. If a couple are $200 and one is $500 you know something is wrong.

Most Honda dealerships are expensive once the car is outside of warrenty (Well this is what I have found in Brisbane). Your best bet is to find a mechanic in your area (Doing a search would be a good start) that specialises in Hondas, and using them on a regular basis.

I got mine coming up to it's 120k
I refuse to use Eastern Honda. I have my reasons and will not flame them here.
I use Essendon Honda in Essendon Fields and actually find them quite useful and helpful to customers and also when there is a problem after the service, there more then happy to check over there work.

Correct. It's just a minor...
I'd say it would be anywhere from 170-240.. i wouldn't pay anymore then that at a dealership.

90k is a minor service as others have mentioned..

even at a dealer id be suprised if they charged you more than $200...

and if you supply your own oil and filter - you are just paying for labour which is $60-$80 per hour..

cool next one is 100k so will definatly need a discount... only thing is this DC5R doesn't get ridden much it only did 2000km in the last year, so may be a while.
It cost about $200, took less than 1.5 hours and everything was good. Only thing is she forget to get the log book stamped, might have to send her back there.
I've dealt with a William in spare parts before if thats your mate.

You can always save some cash and earn some knowledge by doing it yourself? DIY FTW IMO ;)

Unless doing that will void your warranty or something..?
