What is the JDM Type R dc2 motor model?

Hey guys i have a noob question, i have googled it and heard a few things from others, still cant come to a conclusion.

Does anyone here know what is engraved on the engine for a jdm dc2r?

I was under the impression it was just 'B18C' but i have a read/heard otherwise. About to buy one and it sounds too good to be true. Soo ya. Thank you. I know that AusDM are b18c7 for type r and b18c2 for the vtir. Just not sure about the JDM models. cheers :)

all jdm 96-00 VTEC integras , have "b18c" on their engine. SiR ( vtir equivalent) and the ITR's too.

Ah, well this is a aus 94 itr wit a engine swap to a 'JDM spec", im just not sure about the engine lols. gonna drop the deposit tmr soo ya. Wanna make sure i dont end up regretting it lol.

PS: the car is a teggy.

There is no such thing as an Aus 94 ITR, you're being jipped.

ITR's were made from 98+ in Australia.

kk soo atm im under the impression the gsr didnt come with vtec? is that correct?

Ill test drive the shit outa it tmr and see where it redlines c1 redlines at 8.1? compared to the jdms at 8.6?

I remember the engine on top of my head, the plate just said B18c didnt have anything else on it.

Its a okay car for the price, i went to check it out for wid my mate, but it wasnt what he was looking for
Good points - JDM B18C Vtir engine - goes nicely, Red DC5R recaros, Cheap
Bad points- Smokes a bit, Paint is rough, engine bay isnt painted, driver side recaro doesnt recline properly, exhaust has a leak

dud. not even a vtir body. its a dc4 with an engine swap not sure which one. cars literally on its arse like sitting on the exhaust which is why theres a leak. His a good bloke admitted he's not sure if its genuine k's (in other words his definite that its been winded back) and that the girl he bought i off didnt know when the last service was. interior is grot but :thumbsup: for the recaros+retrim. paint is pretty bad. if the engines a real b18c1 it will be slightly quicker than an aus one so if you make sure its genuine and clean then raise it and its borderline a good deal.
