Have just noticed a whinning or humming sound coming from the front end of my MY09
Euro Luxury manual.
It's not engine noise related. It's movement related, the sound rises and falls with varying road speed. It's not road surface related either. Clutch in, still noise. In Neutral and coasting ,Still Noise. Anyone have any ideas.

check your front tyres to see if you've recently caught a nail in the tyre or some tar that's stuck to the tyre.

It's happen to me before.

Noise was Front drivers side Wheel Bearing needs replacing. Replacing a wheel bearing at 12000 Klm's !!!! WTF.

Had a Subaru Outback before this with 90000K and nothing went wrong.
Golf GTI MkIV before that with 70000K with no issues.
Whats going on Honda

Making me more than a little nervous on the longevity and fragility of the CU2.

Honda does not make bearings. Other companies make bearings. And any manufactured part can have premature failures. That is why you have warranty to cover them.

No one likes premature failures of anything to do with the drivetrain components and having to call on their warranty coverage .Lets hope it's a one off ocurrence, wise Aaronng.
