what is chassis rigidity from your perspective?

I think you have things a bit mixed up mate... chassis rigidity is a measure, and a result of addition componentry to increase the rigidity of your chassis...

You can increase the rigidity of your chassis, or chassis rigidity in a number of different ways. For example, seam welding of your chassis, or more commonly in the addition of numerous bracing systems to your vehicle, ie. Sway bars, strut braces, c pillar braces cross member braces fender braces etc.

I did a quick search on google for chassis rigidity on Google and it brought up a number of interesting sites that i recommend you go and read... it isnt as simple as one would think in games like the Gran Tourisma series where you can just increase chassis rigidity...

good luck bud

Yeh i was meant to say seam welding place.
Just couldn't think of that word. hehe
thanks alot for the research. I'll read it when I have some free time.
Do u kno any good place for seam welding?
My car makes squaking sound when goin on the bump sideways slowly.
Really wanna stop it and at the same time make the car rigid.
thanks mate

Alot of flex to the chassis when you go over bumps sideway. Got a feeling its the rear of the car thats flexing so try out a really good solid rear strut bar for now. See how that goes =]

there is no such thing as a "seam welding place"... your seams are all the points in your chassis where metal meets metal... really anyone thats handy with a welder can do it... but you would have to strip your car down to nothing to do it...

If you have enough spare cash as what you apid for your car go to a specialist workshop that builds race cars and they should be able to do it for you

like i said... do the reading and be informed, im not quite sure you understand what you're after

Also with seam welding. If you seam weld your whole car and get into an accident. It's practically impossible to put the car on a straightening machine and pull the chassis straight again. So do it at your own risk?

Correct me if Im wrong someone.

Hahaha.

This is exactly what came to mind when I read the title of the thread.

I'm betting you got a EG, tangy ?

All of my EG's suffered this.
