Hey all,

Having some trouble with our gearboxes.
My EK4 just killed her box ("S4C") and whilst out finding another for her, I stumbled across a "Y80" box apparently from a CRX

NOW this evening a possible problem of cable/hydraulic clutch systems not matching up arose at work.

According to the B16A FAQ (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14136) the only CRX released in australia is the Del Sol which is off a series two and thus is hydraulic.

After googling "Y80 Gearbox" an ad for a Y80 Gearbox (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=61119495) came up and got my attention!

Questions are:

- where is a Y80 from? B18B Teg?
- is a Y80 hydraulic?
- can i use it without any custom fittings?

thanks in advance ^^

Y80 came with most of the B18 (B/C) in America and the JDM B18C SiR-G
Im no expert, but thats as far as I know.

And I am pretty sure the Y80 and also the S80 gearbox is hydraulic.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Hope this helps.

Apparently the Y80 tranny came off the B18C1 in the '94-'01 Integra GS-R.

I'm pretty sure that all B-Series GBox's are compatible with all B-Series engines though. While you're at it you could get a Type R GBox.

I think it's hydraulic since the cable stuff ended in the early 90's didn't it?

to make it easier

anything from a local EK4 , EG3 ( del sol) , EM1 , DC4 , DC2 or ITR will 100% bolt up to your car dude.
