Greetings. I've been lurking for a while and picking up bits and pieces of information. Time now to come out in the open.

At the start of December my Lotus Elise engine bay looked like this:

Ye Olde 87kw Rover engine served me well for almost 100,000km but I wanted more power than it could reliably offer.
By chritmas it ended up like this:

I nice new (and expensive) JDM K20Z from a Civic Type-R with >160kw. Engine originally had a drive-by-wire throttle but now has a Spoon DC-5 Integra throttle body and conventional cable.
The new drivetrain also features a nice close ration 6-speed gearbox and limited slip diff as opposed to the old 5-speed and open diff.
ECU is a trial product from Haltech (I have no affiliation with them, my mechanic organised it) specifically for Honda K-series engines.
The engine is now thoroughly run-in and it goes for a proper tune this week.

With the old engine the car was good for a mid-14 standing quarter, new set-up should be a low 12. At Wakefield I could get it around the track in 1.11s, once I learn to drive it again a 1.06 should be achievable. Eastern Creek times should improve from 1.54 to 1.45.

On a private test track it sounds like this: For high quality and full screen youtube vid, Click Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyFwrDDU-R4)
