Hi guys, im in the process of changing my clutch & flywheel.

Im either wanting either of these two.

Could some tell me what the pros and cons are for either, and if it is really worth me paying $1300 for the ORC clutch compared to a $600 exedy HD.

And also my car is not stock

Thanks

ORC set up is a single plate clutch set up that came with flywheel
Exedy hd clutch only came with complete clutch kit without flywheel

What are you using the car for? Track, Drag, Mt Driving, Daily?

I have the Excedy HD clutch with Toda lightwieght flywheel in my car. It is used soley as a weekend car and I think its great. The odd occation I do drive to work (In traffic) it is bareable.

it'll be usually just for daily driving and abit of weekend warrior, i had the Exedy HD once before on my old dc2r but after like a month or 2 , it just felt like a standard clutch.

Ive never had an ORC clutch before but heard some good news about em

Exedy for daily and weekend warrior. Feeling like a Std clutch is good and doesn't mean its doing anything less that it should.

Since its for a daily, get exedy + toda flywheel. ORC is a pain when you do alot of stop starts.

Just so you know, there's actually no such thing as an Exedy Heavy Duty clutch kit for K20A.
If you were quoted $600 for this clutch that doesn't exist, you aught to ask yourself if you really should be buying something from someone who is prepared to quote & sell you an imaginary product.
So you are aware of the actual products they are either standard / OEM replacement HCK-7369 ($415) or Sports Organic HCK-7369 SO ($510).
After that you get into the cerametalic range & race clutches.
Hope that helps

Man, you've really stuff up this thread now. ha ha!

Haven't used an Exedy racing clutch, is it a 3 puck? I have used an Orc. Still would think the Exedy would be more comfortable to drive than the Orc, both would be up to the job though.

my ORC grips hard and fast but i think my next clutch will be something a lil softer. the ORC takes any joy out of driving when you're in traffic and i don't use it's ability enough to warrant having one.

lucky i found this thread.

im on the same boat aswel, trying to find a HD clutch and a lighten flywheel. My car is a everyday car so by the looks of things, Exedy + toda flywheel looks like the one to go for.

Anyone know how much the toda flywheels are going for?

thanks.
