Hey guys,
Just wondering what is a good price to pay for a brand new set of Tein SS for a DC5 S?
I've come across a couple of prices and they seem to vary quie significantly from $1530 - $2859 not including delivery. Also is there a difference with the versions from the USA, UK and here in Australia?
Apparently the one for $2859 has been redeveloped for Australian roads?
Can anyone reconmend a decent price I should be able to pick up a set for or even the names of some traders that I would be able to go to in South Australia for a set of these?
Thanks in advance

also keep in mind that you can get buddyclub n+ at the moment for 1700 fully fitted..... there are a few traders at the moment offering this deal.......

Well the difference is, they have different spring rates;
US spec-Front 8k/ Rear 10k
JDM Spec- Front 6k/ Rear 9K
UK Spec- Front 6k/ Rear 9K
Not sure what the Aus spec is, Fulcrum doesn't like to share that info :zip:
The wide range of prices you mention, is due to the varients available;
Tein SS
Tein SS with uperball pillow mounts
Tein SS + EDFC
Import it yourself, and expect to pay less.

I'm still pretty open to suggestions, I'll look into the N+
It seemed like the ground control kits for the type R was a good buy, however they only made them for up to 01 models.
The things that appealed to me was the lifetime warranty on the Koni shocks Eibach springs and ground control parts....
Really just looking for something that I can use as an everyday drive with ocational track use down the track.

Yea I just called up Car Torque, an authorised distributor for Fulcrum and they said that they don't have any in stock. Their price is $2538 with upperball pillow mounts, to have them shipped from Japan and it would be about a 8-12 week wait. Its an additional $800-900 for the edfc...
The Tein Global website has the 04-06 with upper mounts listed at $1821 not including shipping.
Has anyone ordered directly from Tein to Aus before?

What sort of wheels are you running? Also how do they feel compared to the stock suspension?
Do you have any close up shots of the side profile? Would be interested in seeing some pics if you got them.

Umm, igot the ep3r whels in white on my car, their the exact same specs as the type s wheels; 17 x 7" +45. tyres are 215/45/17 (RE001's) also my stiffness are 8 at the front and 10 at the rear. there are 15 settings in total! so its mdoerately stiff.
I love the coilovers, gotta say best investment so far in the car!
Only downside of the N+.. the rears are quite noisey! but for the price i paid, the upsides i get out of it are so worth it.. handles great!, great and conservative drop!, great price! . right now, i have 1.5 finger gap all around, and i dont scrape anywhere.

Cool thanks for the info.
I've got a couple of quotes so far but the best price I can find atm seems to be $1770 delivered to SA the Buddy Club N+ and about $2200 - $2300 for the Tein SS....
Can anyone with the Tein SS comment on the ride quality/performance? Vs N+?

my EP3 Tein SS weighted 27kg and i checked it in at the airport in Japan.
Coilovers for DC5 should weight similar.

Well i managed to source some here in Adelaide for $1700, I'm trying to include the fitting as well but they want $300 for the labour to put them in. It seems like all the traders get their stock from AAI motorsport. Apparently they get it for 1400 exl GST so they are getting it for $1540 and pocket the rest...
$2200 seems to be the best price also on the Tein SS.
