possible to buy new engine?

bloke goes he put in a brand new type-s engine which was sourced from japan into his dc5r . he says its a k20z1 which would make it the audm type-s not jdm base type s engine hence pulls 154kw. first of all would like to know if it is even possible to purchase a completely brand new engine. do they have new ones for sale over there? his got the reciepts and everything it was installed in melbourne all up cost of 6700 but included in that was a couple of other things. his brothers in jap and apparently is an agent for d2 ra ra ra but aint that still abit cheap?

The TypeS from japan only came with the very base model engine, same engine you get in the FD civics and the base model DC5 ... so no vtec. And i doubt the engine is brand new.

I should think its possible... Pretty sure you can rock up to a dealer here and get them to order you up a whole new engine as well...$$$$$$

i think its very possible,
however worthwhile is questionsable hence making it likely/or unlikely.
