I just wanna to ask........ do you like VTEC+TURBO?
My opinion is, Turbo is Turbo, VTEC is VTEC, why gotta put it together?

Sorry man posted at the same time. Whats the difference in boostin a Vtec motor or a not Vtec motor? Is the same reason for both, more Hp and more torque.

We are going off topic. Maybe you should start a new thread?

What i think is....... correct me if i am wrong, I've got enough attacks......

Vtec - High Compression Ratios, high rpm
Turbo - Lower compression for higher boost, different A/F mixture.....

vtec turbo is awesome because i reckon it redlines like quick as my friends for a civic coupe with a bolt on turbo and its onli a sohc d16y8 and its pretti quick with just a bolt on, keeps up to a stock wrx but he needs a tune up

Back on topic, ive read of a few people boosting their y4s... like Adam said, you should have done a search, i picked this up within a second

It depends what you want from your car. If you want the easiest way to boost power, then turbo is definatly the way to go.
Some people (like myself) like the high reving NA engines, i love it when my b16 keeps pulling after 8 .. the sound etc..
But then again, the rice boy inside my loves intercooler spool and BOV :D and the pull of the turbo =]

Its all really what you want.. stage 1 turbo and a b18c7 will roughly cost the same to do

btw why the b18c7 from the states?

I prefer a b18cR from the land of the rising sun if i was considering importing from overseas, but upto you
