I have owned my Honda Odyseey from new. My power steering vibrate at diffrent time (low or high speed it doesn't matter) since I changed a set of 4 new tyres(Dunlop SP series). I have been to different tyre shops for wheel balancing and swapping tyres (inc replace with new tyres again) back to front and still could not solve the problem.

One guy even told me that two of the wheels actually "not round".

I thought it got to do with the recall in 2007 by Honda (power steering pump stiffener kit installed) but they said not related.

I get really annoyed when I brought my family on holiday and travelling at 110km/hr and it vibrated a lot when the road is turning slightly.

Can someone point me to the problem so that I can get it fix before my family trip during Easter holiday.

Thanks and regards

1st, has any recall in 2007 for RB1?? u may have to specific re the steering wheel vibration. vibrate while traveling at certain speed? any difference when step on brake? have u tried to swap wheel when someone told you not round? main question is does yr RB1's warranty expired?

When I first did my 1000km service, Honda Service centre did advise me about the recall and they serviced it at the same time.

Yes. the tryes were swapped when they told me the wheel not round.

When the steering was vibrating, I step on the brake to reduce the speed say from 100 to 80k/hr, the vibration can either completely gone or still has mild vibration. Also, my middle console for holding the cup also shaking.

My car has extended warranty till 2012 Jan. Why?

What do you mean by RB1?

Thx

oh, have no idea abt the recall on mine then.... anyway... RB1 is the Honda chassis number for 04-09 3rd Generation Honda Odyssey.
swapped tyres only? how abt the rims from front to back? honestly, may be the rim buckled or bent. warranty issue asked because u can go back to Honda for checking if yr RB1 has no modification / return to stock.

Done all the tyres and rims sapping back and front. I have never hit a pot hole so the rim shouldn't be buckled or dent. Rim part of factory warranty?
I am thinking of bringing the car to tyre shop which specialise in power steering service and may be they know something.

I have just sent my car for wheel balancing and the tyrepower guy told me to try out a new set of TOYO tyres to determine my problems above will go away. I even sent the car to Honda mechanic and they cliamed is the Dunlop 300 e sp tyres problem.

The tyrepower wasn't certain whether the problem related to dunlop but happy for to try the TOYO tyres. But the Honda mechanic recommend me to try either Yokohama or Michellin. Any suggestion?
