Does this belt look ok

I was just checking in my engine bay and wanted to know does this belt, and more importantly, idler pulley, look normal with that shiny mark in the middle. ????

Yeah, shiny part is normal. Your auto tensioner is showing that the belt is not stretched yet. In fact it is in the same position as a brand new belt. However, you have a lot of rust on your belt. Maybe the idler pulley is rusting a little bit but I guess it is normal if you live near the ocean.

I used to live about 10km from the ocean, but never had that sort of rust problems. Only a tiny bit on that shiny ball bearing thing on the power steering pump. So your pulley which managed to get rusty like that must be much closer to the beach than I was. :)

Don't worry though, you can buy replacement pulleys from Gates through any auto parts shops here.
