Ok so im pretty much finished my turbo build and almost ready to start my car/make sure everything is working/test for problems/drive it to get tuned

i was just wondering whats the best way to do this... should i put the stock injectors back in and run it with the stock ecu and the intercooler piping disconnected? the car wont run with the bigger injectors will it?

thanks guys!

P.S im bound to start having problems now that its time to start the car so stand by for questions

Go with the std ECU & std injectors.
This way you can be sure it's not going to be overly rich,
Chances are it'll idle fine & give you a chance to warm it up & check for leaks etc.

Just be careful started it though, if it hasn't been turned on in a while, turn the motor over a few times by hand just to get oil around.
Might idle rough though.

should be fine to start and drive on stock ecu and injectors, just dont go hard on it and drive like a snail.

and like above give it a few rotations by hand if not started for a while

^ By hand? I don't think you will build up oil pressure by hand.

Just disconnect injectors and dizzy and do it via the starter.

not oil pressure that will be impossible to do it by hand.

just to get oil moving a little so it coats the components

lol depends how strong you are.
you gotta get the oil through the engine into the places where it needs to be,
not just in the head. esspecially if your starting it for the first time in a while and its got a turbo on it.

Turning the oil pump by hand will do nothing. No oil will move.

did i say turning oil pump. you turn the engine over a few times to rotate and have the oil fall into the places it couldn't get to.

the crank turns the oil pump...

your point?

turning the engine by hand isn't going to be enough to get the oil pump sucking oil from the pan up into the head. All you will be doing is turning all the internals with minimal lubrication while the crank swims in the pan a bit.

Unplug injectors and dizzy and crank it with the starter. Much better.

you do make a good point, but it defantly makes a difference, when working on my car for a while i just run oil through it, turn it over a few times and start it a few hours later. it sound healthier and it warms up much better then when i used to start it without turning it over

when i did my setup i held the intake wheel and left the turbo drain off to bleed the turbo up. i found it hard on my b18a to get oil pressure by just cranking the engine so i started it and oil pressure was there quick smart (i did have relocated oilfilter kit though) so i had alot of new oil lines to fill before it would bleed up properly

the way i looked at it (i lefted an intercooler pipe off) is its just like putting headers on. at idle it wont affect anything. until u do the obvious
