Hello guys,

Can you give me a tip on putting carbon fiber hood on my honda jazz 09? Is it ok to change tis to carbon fiber since their is some parts at the back of the hood. is it important? thanks so much for your help!

use two people to put it on. loosely do the bolts, then line it up then retighten.

and dont get caught.

the parts u're refering to at the back of the hood is jst sound insulator. u can choose not to use it, it wont make any major difference apart frm a slight increase of engine noise coming from the front/ engine bay area.

in fact, most aftermarket cf hood wont even have the pre-drilled holes for u to install the sound insulator.

lol i advise you not to put on a carbonfiber bonnet at all.

the weight gain vs police attention definately not worth it.

can a stock hood run without those insulator things or w/e. i thought it was too stop heat LOL but yeh sory 4 hijack as u sorta got ur answer :P

yeah means fibreglass with a layer of cf.

its alot cheaper.

i dont know about the other states but in perth WA, we can have a cf hood as long as it has the fibreglass reinforcing. but it still pulls attention to the po-po and u will still get pulled over regardless. the reason why it is illegal is because the cf shatters on impact in a crash. thus making it highly dangerous. up to u whether its worth the trouble or not.
