Hey this is my first post and im very new to this fwd car scene, as ive come over from the minitrucking world.
i have a 94 accord fitted with air cyclinders and twin air zenith compressors filling a 5gallon tank with 3/8 airlines and valves all round.
the car has an auto box, which i havent ever owned an auto before. when shifting into 3rd gear the box slips and wont engage 3rd until you back off, and then ease the accelerator back on. then shifts into 4th fine. and kicks down fine, apart from kicking down from 4th to 3rd
however if you leave the car in D3 it doesnt slip at all in any gears and still kicks down fine?
all i have done is topped off the fluid in the transmission. which helped a little
what are the next steps i can go through to rectify the problem, or am i looking at a rebuild/replacement with a lower kilometer unit? as the car has 321 000 kays on it. and does anyone have approximate prices on rebuilds and replacements?
