i beleive its 2 inch's bigger in diameter and 1 inch in width

I'm under the impression, that if the load rating on the tire matches or is better than stock, you can have any size wheel you like.

Yeah pretty sure the rim size is not relevant. The rolling diameter has to be within +/- 15mm of the original one and the load rating same or higher. You can go from 15" steelies to 20" if you want, as long as the rolling diameter, with the tyre on, is within 15mm of the original setup.

euro tr4sh is right.Legally you can only go +2 from stock.So if you have std.Euro with 16s max.you can go is 18s

Maybe in NSW, but in Victoria. It's load rating.

You're allowed a 1" increase in width and rim size doesn't matter, only the rolling diameter with tyres on.
