Got any DIY engine building gurus in VIC who would be interested in hanging out with and teaching a noob how to build a B20? lol

I'm going to try in 2010 and would need some help, but would also really just like to meet some members from OzHonda :)

Thanks a lot mate, I don't have sound in the hostel I'm staying at right now (I'm in Slovakia lol) but I'll definitely check it out when I get somewhere suitable. I'll take another look for some more DIY vids and I've also got a great B16A performance building how-to book at home, photos for every step :)

Just a side note.
Honestly it's not that I want somebody to do my build for me, I'm just interested in meeting new mates and learning about my hobby.

probably better off building a b16/18. The build procedure for the b20's really determin the life span of the engine. anything done incorrectly can cause serious dramas. B16's & b18s are a little easier i think.

OP - if you are asking this question i dont think you are experienced or confident enough to perform such a task. Its quite a long complicated process that needs to be exact.

Pay someone else to do it IMO

My JDM CRX isn't my daily driver. I have an EH VTi for that. The CRX is my weekend car and is on an 'extreme limited use insurance policy' so drive it generally less than '4000KMs per year' as specified by Shannons - this way I only pay $1000 for full comprehensive insurance, even though I insured it when I was 20.

For this reason time taken to build the engine is not a problem at all, and since I might only drive the CRX once a week or to a club meet it would not get a lot of use at all. So I can take as long as necessary to build the engine properly and learn as slowly as I need to.
Furthermore if the B20 is built correctly there's no reason why it should have a 'weak' bottom end - that's just a myth and only really applies if the engine is built like anus.

I'd like to do as much myself as possible so that I can learn more about engines and appreciate the project more :)
