Hi guyz,

I was snooping around checking out my AP1 engine bay...and i notice a smaller black box on the right attached to the stock airbox....when i open up the airbox...it doesnt seems like there is an openning connection between them....

So my question is...what the heck is this for?/>...does it serve any mechanical or performance purposes??? or is it just to HOG UP space???

thx...

It's a resonance chamber. If you take your airbox lid off and look towards the rear right hand side you can see the opening.

reduces intake sound.... acts like a "muffler" for intake noise.

look it up on google or something.

Just remove everything including the air filter box + resinator thingy and have a CAI (FIPK) and that would be awsome lol one thing i never got to get was a FIPK or j's racing intake :(

Dude most sound the same.. I cant even tell the difference from being infront of an FIPK to a drop in pod -.-

This will help take the lid off and the filter and you will see a hole on the back right bottom of the air box pretty sure thats where its located.

oh and are you going to block it? or remove it? im not too sure if you can remove it but just get some plastic and cover the little hole thing up imo.

its usually attached to the intake pipe from the airbox lid and cant be seperated. so you know what that means. cai ftw =]
