G'day..
Does anyone know how to remove this bolt "A" (see pic) ?
Can it be done "reasonably" without the use of a hydraulic press ?

relieve pressure on the arm (use jack) and secure bolt B with a spanner and air gun it off (B) for C you're gonna have to mallet it upwards; there's more to it but it's 3am

Don't mallet upwards on the balljoint stud. If the ball joint trick fails you (search for it) then you just bash the crap out of the lower control arm with your mallet.
There's nothing special about the other two, they're just on tight. Use some muscle and some penetrating lubricant/anti-sieze.

damn thats some rusty lookin shit.
As said, nothing different with these two bolts. Just get some leverage on them.

There is also the inner bushing bolt. The DA9 does not have bolt A, it instead has two bolts which hold the radius rod onto the LCA. They are the most difficult bolts to remove-replace out of the lot.

no more NOS in this one
I see you are still tinkering with Hondas. Do you still go to your old 'racetrack' in that posh suburb?
do you know where I can buy a rear sway bar in Perth?

Not too bad - tinkering with this car. But after racing karts - the whole FF thing is taking abit of getting used to.
A huge off at the "old racetrack :D " did a massive number on my old car - so i just use it for suspension testing / tuning nowadays. Going to try and get my head around the car and learn to drive it properly.
Whats the swaybar for ? If its a custom job - wheels world (osb park) have been getting my suspension in. To the best of what i know - they got Steves rear bar in for him as well. Custom bar - with "D" bushes to match.
There are times i could do with a more comfort orientated car - and go back to racing karts. Dont mind a grandpa spec actually!!!
p/s: still doing ground fighting ?

impact gun and spanner shall take that right off.
in the event u dont have one...
a spanner on either side where 1 holds and the other to loosen. also to get more leverage, u can extend the 'lossening' spanner with another spanner one size bigger or smaller by putting an open end with a closed end together.
sorry i dun have a pic to show you what i mean. u will prob work it out though

a couple things, if you have a long 1/2 inch, put it on, and palm the bottom of it, otherwise i don't know.
Those bolts arn't reverse thread are they, i've had some bad experiences with reverse threads.
