That's not a easy fit on a s2000 lol.
Front fenders will need to be flared.
Rear needs to be pumped and also you will need to run thinner tyres.

anyway, here's the specs
Enkei RPF1 silver
17x8+45 with Ku36 225/45 -2 camber no roll
17x9+45 with Ku36 245/40 -3 camber no roll

and amazingly no scrape??? it is lowered to 1 finger gap left rear and approx <2 finger gap front.

Oh and by the way I would reccomend you roll your front guards before you clip them and pull them out.

haha thanks guys, i am planning to get them rolled soon anyway. So far it hasn't hit anything driving normally but the front's height is a bit high and i plan to lower it further after rolling.

Btw, it's having very very twitchy and light steering response. i've tried going up to 100kph, it feels sort of mmm how to describe... when the road curves, it sort of swerve with it. So if there's like a bump left and a bump right, it will serve left and right. On my stockies with RE001 and stock camber, it doesn't do this but very smooth steering response. Not sure if i make any sense.

IT's just so twitchy and sensitive. Is it to do with alignment settings (due to lots of camber) or tyres?

when i first had the car,it had hankook tyres and did similar thing but tyres were low on tread and had excessive camber wear and when moved to RE001 it was all very good.

If your front alignment is slightly out now, it will track the road easier when increasing tyre width, increasing camber, increasing toe, increasing offset and increasing grip. Time for an alignment.

but i did the alignment. It does go straight in straight line. just heaps twitchy and sensitive and bumps will make it steer off course.

What alignment setting are you running on the front? BTW your car looks trick.

what does look 'trick' mean?

anyway,
front running
-2 degree camber both sides and not sure the toe.

rear running
-3 degree camber. toe is 1.5mm in ?

Booked to get rolled this Friday. Spoken to the guy who did my alignment, he just told me the above and will re-align again after rolling. Perhaps going -2.5degree camber for rear since will have more clearance from rolling.

It means it looks great, i like it!

If you can find out your toe settings are, my preference is 0 toe, however each to there own. Do you know what your castor settings are for the front.

Also a good wheel alignment place should provide (or ask) a print out, before and after alignment.

Ohh haha thanks man.

Yeah i'll ask him to print one out this Friday. Was busy last week had to leave the car with them and forgot to ask.

Apologies for hijacking the thread. I'm also looking at wheels at the moment for my s2000. The buddyclub qf's I'm looking at come in 17x8 with +35 offset. Is that too aggressive (i.e will the wheel come out of the guards). Intend to keep standard suspension and camber.

thats too aggressive. i'll stick out.

i'm running +45 and it's right on the edge. -2 deg front, and -2.5 rear. need more camber. hahaha and a roll. stock suspension.

8 + 35 is what I roll on.

FOlded fenders, and about 2.8 degrees negative camber, however I'm on an 18" rim.

17" you will piss it in ; if thats the look you want.

Hi.. anyone using 17 x 8.5 225/45/17 front and rear? i got a set of Te37. still fit well at the rear one ?
Cheers..

Easy fit, but that all depends on your offset... what offset are they. If they are less than +45, you may have some issues. As ride height and whether your guards are rolled, these are all important factors.

mrprelude

It does help to try different rims on before purchasing one otherwise your never really sure how it will look. I'd like to fit 17x9 front and back to fit a wider tyre for when I take it down to Winton every once and awhile.

Both of the offset are +31.. car currently installed Ap2 kit. should be ok ?

JAP-S2K
28-02-2010, 11:42 AM
It's an agressive offset, it will stick out a bit.
