Coolant temperature sensor

Ok, today my coolant temperature sensor decided to go haywire on me. It just goes from bout 40% to 3/4 and back to 40% in like 2 seconds and repeated doing this and saying my idle temp (operating temp) was 3/4 then full then 40%.

I'm guessing it had basically given up on itself but now I need to find a new one

- How do I install it?
- Where do I get one and how much is it?

might not be ur temperature sensor maybe ur fan is dieing check if it turns on and off. btw what car do u have on the eg civics its next to the thermostat

Go to http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/
go to sensors and switches and get the correct one for your model. From memory they are about $15 I think
