ok hey everyone ive got a vtir civic and the timming belt just went now ive got a mate that said i can have his b16a now will the b16a fit stright with my gearbox and clutch mine atm is a b16a2 just to let you know

yes direct swap but why you wanan swap??? just timing belt and be on your way :S

not sure only just got the car and it didnt have log books or anything so im not sure. kinda pissed of but not much i can do now

might have to use your old dizzy and injectors again(afaik b16a would he obd1?)

oh and make sure you change the timing belt just incase:p

What series of B16A? B16A2 just like your's or just B16A from the older JDM models (IE EF8 and EF9).

'B16A' generally refers to the JDM B16A IMO and that won't legally fit into your engine unless you just take the B16A head and slap it onto the B16A2 bottom end (in which case you'll pretty much never get caught).
