Ditto here, pretty easy to put it on yourself, the instructions are quite self explanatory

I paid $395.00 for my kit supplied and fitted at a dealer.

yeh, round about that figure... $400 something (dealer fitted) think mine was? Saved me the hassle and I can blast them if anything goes wrong (5yrs warranty).

With the dealer fitted sensors, does it still connect with the info screen on the cluster (so it shows you which ones are within close proximity)?

No. The tight arse's in Japan didn't include such an obvious option. Basically it's just a box that sit's in your boot with a moderatley loud beeper in it that activates on your reverse lamps.

40 bucks?! What is the installation like? Does the process involve cutting holes in your rear bar or is it much simpler than that?

I believe only the factory installed front and rear sensors have integration to the Multi Information Display (MID) on the Dash.

Don't know about OZ, In NZ, the Luxury and Navi versions have factory front and rear sensors integrated with MID.

it takes about 2-3 hours, you'll need to take your rear bumper off, drill 4 holes - the reversing sensor kit comes with a drill bit, slot the sensors in, and piggy back the unit off the reversing lights.

I did it for about $50 with an ebay unit, and it is exactly the same as my friends OEM one.

Do you have a link for the ebay unit please.

I think it was something like that. Cant' remember exactly, we've bought a total of 4 from various ebay shops and never had a problem. Just remember though try and get one prepainted, and if not, make sure you don't paint on a layer too thick otherwise it won't work =p

Also I never bothered hooking up the display, the beeping is plenty of warning
