The odyssey is suppose to be a family car, a baby carrier. At least that's what I thought it will be when I bought it.

Initially just to increase safety, brighter HID lights for night driving, better brake pads for stopping power, these are shortfalls from the showroom.

Then I had front spoiler added, front grill changed and for sportier look.
was content for a while until.....

I saw a set of 18" work emotion XD9 with correct size tyres for odyssey. I just had to have them LOL. Now modding bug has bite again.

If THE BOSS is permitting , coilovers are next, maybe getting the rest of the bodykit.

and maybe a HKS turbo kit? LOL odyssey is gutless, really need some torque.

HKS turbo is tempting me as well, at the moment my priority mod is air suspension.

baboo, you are the hidden RB1 modder for QLD state.....

sounds like everyone eyes on the HKS kit. was told you have to pay for a HKS technician come over fm Japan for tuning in order to have warranty (told by a friend who installed that in Beijing). may be cheaper if he can do 3-4 RB1 in AUS altogether :)

Dan, can you let me know how much for a set of AirRunner when you ordering as i might go for a cheapo D2 set.

I think there is a shop in Perth that are HKS distributors. Don't know if they are HKS qualified techs, but they are really expensive and most of their cars are decked out in HKS gear..
When I was inquiring in another forum some time ago, I was told that the HKS kit was for the Absolute 200 bhp model and not our 160 bhp engine. Also the gains were did not justify the pricing.
Maybe you guys have got more up todate info and can enlighten me.

Andy, a set of AirRunner is AUD$5000 delivered. I might go with AirForce because they have 36 way damper adjustment and much cheaper as well :)

GTAuto garage in QLD is HKS pro dealer now, so can tune HKS V-pro...etc

I think the turbo kit is for the 160HP model, only puts out 0.3bar though, rated 200hp after the kit. biggest gain is torque, you can always turn the boost up to gain more powar!!!

Andy, you are not happy with the Ohlins?

AirForce same as D2? Different brand marketing as D2 also comes with 36 way damper adjustment?

i'm happy with Ohlins but just not able over the fxxking curb where i park when lower too much. i have to catch up the Dan's VIP style :) a set of airbag will do the job on my application.

actually not much to tune on HKS Turbo kit as the F-Con already pre-tuned on RB1 factory spec. HKS tech just need to check all installation and fine tune based on the conditions of the car and usage.

Just to be a wet blanket.....

I suspect the HKS kit will be abt $5-6k? after that need to upgrade the following also to get a balanced car.
1. Change brakes to BBK, simple 4 pot is abt 2k. Project Mu you will be looking at around 3k. Cheapo 6/4 set for front and back is abt 4.5k
2. Intake and exhaust will need to be changed to maximise the turbo kit. Talking abt 2.5k
3. Suspension abt 2k? Unless you go taiwan brand which is abt 1k.
4. All the cusco strengthing bars abt another 1K

So a full transformation will cost abt 12.5k minimum? Worth it?

I think AirForce, D2, K-Sport, Crux Air, etc pretty similar and might come from the same factory. It's just that i'm the dealer for AirForce and i can be D2 dealer as well. You want to order at the same time as mine?

Anyone know this brand EuroDress LX-G exhaust? I was quoted less than AUD$1000 delivered from Japan. I'm just wondering how loud is the exhaust.

i take it any exhaust fm Japan not approved by JASMA is loud but just not sure how loud it is. believe its no difference of a custom made cannon local made.

Plate is welded on the muffler if approved by JASMA. of course, you will have JASMA certificate with the exhaust when purchasing new.

no problem at all.

I had Fujitsubo Wagolis exhaust fitted to try out what it feels like and sound like in a AUTO car. it's pretty disappointing due to the drone noise at crusing rev. Honestly I cannot feel much of a difference in terms of acceleration.

TEIN Hydraulic only $1000 extra, for me if you ready to spend $5k better just put an extra $1k for the TEIN,

even Dedy @ Top One recommend the TEIN  after he installed one last Sat for the E51, even there was a lil bit of problem with the Hydraulic coz the owner bought it 2nd hand so NO manual at all . . .

but he keep saying it its much better then any air suspension . . .

For my case I can't use tein hybrid because you need to drive at the lowest position & only raise it up if there's a speed hump or steep driveway. I want to drive at normal height & have flexibility to lower & raise the car. If you still need good handling then tein hybrid or air tank cylinder is the best option.

you still can drive at normal height, just set the coilover on normal height position, then if you want to show it off can be lowered to about 10 cm I have heard .........
