Hi all, been a member back in the days when I had Hondas. I have an sti now but my new job will need me travel around and the sti is not gonna cut it in terms of fuel economy. I'm getting around 320kms a fuel tank. So I'm probally gonna end up selling it or just swap it for another car.
Anyway, I am thinking of switching back to a honda (having own a dc2 and eg with b16a). I was wondering whats the fuel consumption like for these 4 cars.
Euro Accord (not the new shape)
S2000
DC2R
DC5R

The 4 cars vary based on fuel tank + driving style + conditons as you'd expect, but for the CL9's(accord euro old shape), city driving for me is on average 600-650 Km per tank.
Roughly converts to about 100km/ 10 L since it has a 60L tank. Some other have gotten more, but i guess 10 L per 100km is what your looking at with the Euro's.
not sure about the rest, just pretty much see what else other users have gotten in their experience. Goodluck

dc2r, i get ~400kms before the light goes on. thats a mix between heavy and light driving, more on the side of light to moderate.
cant say its great but certainly a positive direction away from your sti.

So from the above list, it looks like dc2r has the best fuel economy, must be a pretty small tank to only do 400kms. I cant remember how big the tank was on my dc2 but I'm guessing its the same size.
At this stage, I think I'm leaning towards the Euro.

i say dc2, only because it won't cost you much to fill up and you can prob force 450-500 by taking it easy the whole time. give it a bit throughout your week you will prob get 400 or 450 on high octane.

if your driving around alot the dc2, Dc5 or euro would be the go. S2000 is abit tight, especially if you want to even carry a bag! Boot space holds the top & there's no back space. I especially hated the closet type fit & i'm not that big!
The Dc5 should take the middle fuel, if you are driving normally, but prob thristy if being thrashed around. Its got the sportiness and has great driving comfort feel
The Euro takes quite abit of fuel as it is a heavier car, friend had one, but its a nice drive.
Dc2 Usually can get almost 600kms if you drive normally, and drops to about 450 when you thrash it hard. Its just below the dc5 on comfort but i think its more sportier
Those are my impressions of the cars from my drives of them

I've driven a dc2r and a euro at some stage in the past. In terms of performance, if my memory services me correctly its s2k > dc2r > dc5r > euro. The car that I will get will be a daily driver and no mods will be done to it. I get easily agitated with rattling and stuff in the car. Does s2k and dc5r rattle in the car at all ? One of the reasons I am leaning towards euro is also because of the quietness of the car. The euro i drove had lowered springs, I was wondering how does the standard ride feel, suspension wise ? I hope it dont handle like a boat like my dad's camry :)

Hate it to break it to ya but when I test drove the Euro it did seem to handle like a boat.
Maybe some suspension mods can fix that but then that's just dumping more money in the car...

a euro would be a nice daily i admit that, and you will get more out of your tank a week, but it will also cost you more to fill up.
In reality there all the same and it depends how you drive it, like me, i like to break in front of traffic at the lights and i do tend to give it some rev's throughout the week. so i don't get much out of my tanks, but that would be the same in every car.
I have been in a euro and its so smooth, you don't know if your driving on the road or just hovering. its just nice.

I was wondering with the Accord Euro. What are the differences between the 04,05,06 + model ?? Apart from the rims, I can't tell if there is anything else.

There were two 'models' of the euro, 03-05 (pre-facelift) and 06-08 (facelift model). The 06 models came with a trip computer, different front bumper (meaning that prefacelift bumpers arent interchangable with 06+) and a slightly different dash among other small improvements.
However the 05 luxury model came with the best rims imo, the Euro Sport rims (Silver versions of the Gunmetal Euro-R rims). Other than that they're all mechanically identical as far as I know :p
I have an 04 manual and constantly get >500kms per tank with a bit of spirited driving here and there :)
