hey guys

just wondering when u guys change from reverse to drive or other way round do u guys hear a sound..not really a click but like a knock kinda sound??

yes i have that sound on my FD2 sport, im pretty sure this is normal.

yes yes, I get the same thing on mine too. I kinda had a gut feeling that it was normal :)

The question I had was whether or not it damages the gears if you change from R to D while the car is still in motion? Obviously not when it's speedily reversin but you know just that last bit of motion I tend to knock it into Drive.

Anyone know? I've seen others do it a lot but just wasn't sure.

Modern cars won't engage drive until it is safe to do so. After all, they're auto gearboxes made so the lowest common denominator can understand their operation.

yeah...guess thats one thing with our fd2 sports den...wonder if the normal vti have that issue too...

yes i do have those "clunk" noise..its normal..
