I wanna install an alarm for my Civic.
Does anyone know what to look for in a good alarm system?
Does anyone here know much about the Viper range? Is it worth forking out $$$ for the 2-way/pager ones?

Any input would be appriciated.

If ur willing to spend the money (900$) there a sick theft diterent device.....
when someone breaks into ur car..... opens the door etc.... its blows a smoke screen (which is ok to the enviroment and leavs no residue) whis makes it impossible to breathe/see inside the car

Yo tones.. viper is very good, ive got atleast 4 friends with them and they never stuff up.. quality buys plus you can add/subtract features (like autostart if u wanna break the law :P, auto windows up etc)...

Boomerang ive only heard good things about too..
When it comes to car security, i know alot of people who skimp on a couple of hundred dollars for some dodgy no name brand whos alarm goes off like crazy and have to push about 18 buttons to get into the car and deactivate the immobilizor...

But when it comes to your car, worth 10k, 15k, 20k whatever.. what is a couple of hundred dollars in comparison?

Viper is overrated IMO. I run a hornet which is made by DEI (same as viper etc etc etc) and it really is not that special. The previous owner bought it, but if I were to choose I would go for something different.
