Ok so i bought a dc2r off a friend.

It has chugging problems at low revs when cold or just turned on.
Then I blew my dizzy. Like it split in half. Was getting the CYP 9 error.

Since then we've changed,
Fuel Pump
New Ecu (previous was jdm 96 ecu)
Major service
New Dizzy

And after all that its still chugging. Could it be the box? Cause i've been going through alot of clutches and it seems to only chug after unable to put it in reverse. As apposed to it used to do it everytime i start up.

Any ideas? I am lost.

Base ignition timing set correctly? Timing belt jumped a tooth? New spark plugs for good measure?

Can't do much better with the information given.

New iridium spark plugs already
Timing belt was changed in major service.
Ignition i dunno... Can get that checked.

Chugging as in, I rev up to say 3k and then it doesnt rev. and then it kicks back in.

Ever checked or replaced your main relay?

I think i had the same problem as you before.

Does the car suddenly cut power then comes back?
Have you checked your O2 Sensor? TPS?

Have a look at these two links. Might be the same problem.
