hey guys

usually i try nut it out myself ive got a late eg civic. and i bought it not running with a manual swap. ive sorted the clutch interlock so it cranks however it still wont start and is throwing code 30...


Automatic Transmission Signal: "A" / SEAF / SEFA / TMA or TMB

that is code 30 but i cant find any info on it can anyone shed some light please.....

no flaming it doesnt help anyone

your ECU might have an immobiliser in it,
it will need to be converted to MT

just speaking to a good source he seems to think it might just b a dodgey earth on the thermostat housing.. il check to nite and let u kno

from memory OBDI ECU's dont have an AT signal code ( code 30 ).

I think you have an OBDIIa ECU and its in AT mode, plus the immobiliser is killing fuel.

i reset the ecu and i cant get code 30 to come back.... however i did get code 8? (crank angle sensor) when i tried some throttle body cleaner to start it.

i found a loose wire inside the connector of the dizzy and besides running out of fuel i think its ok. its possible it was a faulty ecu? or a bug in it?
